Love this page with snapshots of Greg through the years playing baseball. Especially at this time of year I miss those cool fall nights in Flemington watching him play. Looking back, those baseball days flew by so fast.

After a long week of working and rain occurring on most days, I was able to get into the garden yesterday and pick the peas. I picked enough for 2 dinner servings for all of us and will probably pull them out of the freezer for Thanksgiving. It was a very good crop and I am considering putting in a late crop of peas. It's funny how I really don't care for peas except fresh from our garden.
The yellow squash is looking good and we should have a bumper crop of that. I can't wait for the fresh tomatoes.

Back from a wonderful visit with Casey in Boston. She was moving from Braintree to Quincy and we went out to help her move. Thursday was a very busy day with making 3 trips with the U haul and van between the 2 places and cleaning out the old place. We finished around 4:30 pm and were dead tired. It was worth it as her new apartment is perfectly located for commuting into Boston and has a very nice layout.
Friday was spent sightseeing and enjoying Boston. Larry and I started the day with the tours of John Adam's birthplace, first home and Peacefield (his and Abigail's home). It turns out that Peacefield is less than 1 mile from Casey's apartment and is on a great street for running or riding her bike. After our tours, we headed to Casey's and met up with her and Cyrus. We had lunch at a very nice restaurant in Quincy (Mexican, yummmm!) and then headed into Boston to go to the Aquarium. It was a beautiful day and we walked along the Rose Fitzgerald Parkway, Fanueil Hall and spent a long time at the aquarium. It was a long day and we were all beat, but we had so much fun.

Look what we found sleeping on the sand mound in the backyard. This little fawn was sound asleep. We didn't see the mother anywhere nearby but suspect she was in the evergreens nearby. This sweet baby slept there for about 10 minutes before getting up and running towards the evergreens on very spindly legs.
While most people hate having deer in their backyard, I don't mind too much because they are so beautiful. They don't eat our shrubs, merely just sleep in the yard. As for the snakes found in our backyard lately, I'm not such a fan.

I'm Back!!!!
Welcome Back! Not sure why I took a break from blogging but I did. Work got in the way and my time outside of work was shortened due to longer hours at work and a longer commute. Now I am back and am trying to decide if this should be health and fitness (which I continue to struggle with), family history (may use a second blog), creative work, or just plain information. It may end up being a mixture of all as I lessen my work load, get more involved in learning photoshop editing and expanded my design knowledge, and constantly work at becoming healthier with a goal of running a 5K.
No matter what this will be a place for once again documenting my life through observation and pictures.
